Awear: 2020

This collection is all about the impacts of climate change. Each piece was an emotion that I felt during Hurricane Sandy when I was a freshman in high school. I truly felt like the world was ending, sirens all over, and I couldn’t leave my house for days. I channeled all of those mixed emotions into a collection. I wanted to show my emotions since I was struggling at the time with feeling things in general. I was someone who always “suffered” with emotions, not knowing how to deal with them or feeling them so strongly that it rocked my core. This was an easy thing for me to tap into…

Completing the collection after college and showcasing her in some new ways with new additions each time. First debuted in Boston Fashion Week, then Bentley University, Boston, MA, a year later, with following a third time in Suny New Paltz, NY.

I started this portion of my business in 2023. I knew that I wanted the clothes to be more, and I started designing in 2024. This is an ongoing series/collection. Debuted at Space of Balance: 3rd Annual Sustainable Fashion Show in 2024.

I have an ongoing series on my socials about redesigning this collection. I sewed this collection in under two weeks… going back to properly love her the way she deserves has been so fun and joyful!

The College Years

During my time at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, 2016-2020, I studied fashion design and finished with a BFA in fashion and a minor in sustainability. I was taught how to build up my craft of fashion and myself. I got to participate in the Chronicle sustainability episode, was a part of an art collective Haus 333, made masks during the pandemic with masks of angels, featured in an eilieen fisher challenge, and finished it off by being showcased in Boston Fashion Week.

The Highschool Years

I studied Fashion Merchandising and Design in OCVTS, i finished with a certificate in exactly that. During my time there, I truly found my “passion for fashion.” I got to participate in many FFCLA events, which I later became a judge at in my young adult life. I went to three competitions, one for a Barbie outfit, one for everyday wear, and another for upcycling. The last upcycling event placed me to go to the national conference in California! During my time. I was shown how much the love of the craft was handed down to me from both my grandmothers. I was in a few art shows, and i found an art medium which i truly enjoy. forever grateful to this program for helping me find myself during some hard times.
